Bike Paths & Rail Trails

Manhan Rail Trail – 4.2 miles – South Street, Easthampton to the Mount Tom Junction at route 5 in Northampton. Runs near the Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary.

Norwottuck Trail – 9 miles – Connects Northampton, Hadley and Amherst, parallel to route 9. Uses an old railroad bridge with a great view upstream to cross the Connecticut River near the Calvin Coolidge bridge. A pedestrian crossing with traffic light gets you across Damon Road.

UMass Conector bike path – 2 miles – links the Norwottuck Trail to UMass Amherst.

Keystone Arch Bridge Trail- 5 miles round trip – Huntington, recommended for hikers and mountain bikers. NOT a commuting trail.

Northampton Bikeway 2.6 miles running between Northampton and Look Park.
