Queen’s Greens is a certified organic vegetable farm in North Amherst, Massachusetts. We grow baby greens, herbs, tomatoes and root vegetables for wholesale customers. Queen’s Greens is known for providing high quality products to many of the most notable chefs and grocers in New England and New York. We grow a streamlined group of items on our farm, and focus on growing them as efficiently, as profitably and as beautifully as possible.
Farming is a team sport and we are seeking individuals with humor and flexibility to join the team! FARM CREW
The farm crew works in many aspects of crop production with the majority of hours spent harvesting, washing and packing produce. A typical day starts with harvesting from fields and high tunnels – bunching herbs and picking tomatoes, and ends with washing and packing what was harvested in the morning. Expect a lot of washing and packaging baby greens.
This is a physically demanding job and all applicants should be able to move quickly, bend, kneel and stand for long periods and work in all weather.
2020 farm crew positions have a May or early June start date and run through October. We have some options for a shorter season of a June start through late August/September end. We are hiring for 4 or 5 day a week schedules. At the height of the season the work day starts at 6:30am and ends around 5pm, all schedules are full-day schedules. All applicants must be able to work a minimum of early June-late August and at least 4 full days per week. Our farm runs year-round and there would be a possibility of winter hours.
Pay starts at $12.75/hour. Overtime over 40 hours per week
