Thorndike Mills, maker of braided rag rugs in Palmer, shutting down after 94 years after losing stateside supply of wool cloth

“PALMER — Unable to find a domestic source of wool cloth, Thorndike Mills owners Ed and Mitchell Garabedian are shutting down their manufacturing plant and retail store nearly a century after their immigrant father started weaving “rag rugs” in a Boston basement.”
