Everyone is welcome to enjoy the Wild & Precious Arts Festival! Our mission is to spotlight the creative works of women of ages 50 and up, in visual art, poetry, dance, and music. Fest organizers have teamed up with CitySpace to present two fabulous days of creative explorations & celebrations, in downtown Easthampton venues.
Friday, May 27:
•Visual art & festival opening reception at the Elusie Gallery at 43 Main Street, featuring the Bel Canto Chamber Players. Art exhibit is on display through June.
•Dinner music at Galaxy Restaurant by Carol Abbe Smith & Michele Feldheim (reservations required).
•Evening Cabaret at the Blue Room at @CitySpace413 (43 Main St.).
Saturday, May 28:
•”How Do Your People Call the Earth?” interactive poetry presentation by interdisciplinary professor, artist & researcher JuPong Lin, in the Blue Room at CitySpace
•Dance by Michelle Marroquin & Participatory Art Project, in the Blue Room at CitySpace
•”Giving Voice” gospel/spiritual performance/sing along in the Easthampton Congregational Church Sanctuary
•Outdoor performance by Agua y Bosque, an Afro-Cuban percussion, dancing and singing ensemble at Nashawannuck Pond
•Songwriters’ Showcase at Luthier’s on Cottage Street
•Dinner music at Nini’s Risorante by the Michele Feldheim & Lynn Lovell Jazz Duo
•Drinks & dancing at the Marigold Theater with Mary Witt of the O-Tones & a formidable team of live musicians and vocalists
