Event Details:

Awareness of the importance of ecologically informed landscaping is surging, and gardeners looking for native plants are often faced with a dizzying array of choices. Uli will address the differences between “wild type” plants and cultivars of natives, and the role the nursery industry plays in the availability of these plants for our gardens and landscapes. The end goal is to empower gardeners to be informed consumers who make good choices for their spaces and for the planet.

In his role at Native Plant Trust, Uli oversees the facilities and operations at Garden in the Woods and at Nasami Farm. He has 20 years of experience working with native plants in public gardens, including Brooklyn Botanic Garden and the US National Arboretum. His book, Northeast Native Plant Primer, will be published in May 2022.
