Slainte event to benefit Therapeutic Equestrian Center

Oct 22 2016

The dinner is slated for Nov. 10.

Slainte in Holyoke will be hosting the sixth annual Harvest Dining benefiting the Therapeutic Equestrian Center.

A pairing of foods and wines from around the world, the seven course dinner, which will be held on Thursday, Nov. 10, begins at 6 p.m. with a classic Chilean soup and a medley of French cheeses.

California is represented by a salad course and a mini-entree of ribeye au poivre, while the cuisine of Italy is reflected in a polenta and pork belly duo.

A Spanish-style paella and Argentinean empanadas wrap up the savory portion of the dinner, while a Portuguese flan will serve as dessert.

An extensive array of beverage tastings has been organized, and the dinner evening will also include a silent auction featuring an array of special items that those attending can bid on.

The Therapeutic Equestrian Center is a Holyoke-based program that serves special needs children and adults from throughout the Pioneer Valley. Its mission is to enhance the natural abilities of each participant and to help them develop their skills so that they might lead the fullest possible independent life.

The ticket price for this evening is $75, all-inclusive. Reservations can be made by calling Slainte at (413) 534-4000.
